Watch me unbox and assemble Retrospec’s latest beach cruiser e-bike the Chatham Rev+.

This is my wife’s beach cruiser e-bike by Retrospec, the Chatham Rev Plus. It’s the macha green color and it looks really cute with the brown accents the brown leather seat, the brown leather handlebar grips and side walls on the tires are brown as well which really makes the bike look very vintage and stylish. The difference between the Chatham Rev Plus and the Chatham Rev 2 are in the components and performance, the Chatham Rev plus has a little bit more power has a little bit more range it has some better components the tires are nice and the handlebar grips are nicer the seat is nicer and the display is nicer, everything’s just a little bit better with the Rev Plus versus the Rev 2. If you’re considering both of them keep that in mind. My wife doesn’t have a lot of experience riding e-bikes but she was able to jump on this take off and have a bunch of fun pretty much instantly.

It ships quite nicely in this large box with a lot of padding and a lot of protection and nothing seemed to be damaged or broken during shipping and it assembled quite easily and it came with a multifunction tool that you can use to put the whole bike together you don’t even need any extra tools at all. Once you get it put together, you’re going to want to adjust the seat and put some extra air in the tires because they ship pretty low and it actually already had an 80% charge on the battery so it was ready to ride pretty much out-of-the-box. We took it for about an hour bike ride up the coast here in Carlsbad CA with our corgi Remi in tow behind us in the Rover Waggin and it was a fun fun afternoon and we had a blast and when we got back, it still had about 1/2 charge left on it so it seems to have good range. I’ll have an exact number for you guys shortly.

If you’re considering getting your wife or significant other a beach cruiser e-bike and are comparing different models I would highly recommend the Chatham Rev plus, it’s been fantastic for us and my wife can’t wait to take it on some more bike rides.
